What We Take

A plain list of what goes on the truck, what costs extra, and what we can’t haul.

If you’re standing in front of something and wondering whether we’ll take it, this page is the short answer. Johnson’s Junk Removal hauls almost everything a home, jobsite, or business produces — and we take several things other haulers turn down.

Everyday items we haul

Things other haulers turn down — and we don’t

These are the items that usually end up in a second phone call. We take all of them:

  • Paint
  • Tires
  • Concrete and broken-up masonry
  • Dirt and soil
  • Refrigerant-containing appliances — refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners

Some of these carry a disposal fee, because the transfer station charges us one. We’ll tell you the fee on site, before anything goes on the truck.

What we can’t take

  • Pesticides
  • Flammable liquids
  • Propane tanks
  • Aerosol cans

Case by case

A few things depend on the details. Tell us what you’ve got when you book and we’ll confirm before we send a crew — so nothing gets left sitting in your driveway.

  • Sharps — we take them when they’re incidental to a larger junk removal job, not as a standalone pickup.
  • Contaminated soil — depends on what it’s contaminated with. Let us know and we’ll tell you before the truck rolls.
  • Other chemicals and hazardous materials — depends on exactly what they are.

Not sure about your item?

Ask. It costs you nothing and it saves everyone a wasted trip. You can book online, send us the details, or browse all of our services to see how a job like yours usually goes.

Want to know what it’ll cost? We price by the space your items take up in the truck — see our pricing for how that works, and how it works for what to expect on the day.
